DOWNLOAD MUSIC: Burna Boy X Kizz Daniel X Mayorkun X Small Doctor X Kaffy X Zoro — Leggo

Nigeria’s hottest music artists teamed up to release Nigeria’s first EPL-themed song “Leggo”. The all-star collaboration features Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Mayorkun, Small Doctor, Kaffy and Zoro in possibly the biggest collaboration to hit the Nigeria music space in recent years. The single was also released with an exciting video, inspired by their passion for the world’s most popular football league, The English Premier League.

The music artists were all kitted in EPL team jerseys, singing sonorously in support of their respective favourite football clubs. Dance queen Kaffy led the energetic music video choreography with sleek moves.
Recall that Leggo had been teased all week with subtle banter between the superstars on social media. A dialogue centred around Small Doctor began on Monday where the “Penalty” crooner praised Chelsea, despite their heavy defeat to Premier League leaders, Liverpool. Self-acclaimed Mayor of Lagos, Mayorkun, Dance queen, Kaffy and rapper Zoro joined the conversation to throw subtle jabs at “Omoiya Teacher” as Twitter users fanned the banter.
The conversation continued on social media on Thursday with a picture carousel of the stars clad in their team’s jerseys, leading fans to believe the superstars were taking to the football pitch to settle scores. The 5-minute Leggo track is executively produced by TY MIX and directed by Sesan.

Can Mavin’s Record New Artiste; Rema Ever Be As Big As Wizkid In The Music Industry?

Since the announcement of the signing of teenage afrobeats artiste, Rema, to Mavin Records and the release of his 4-track E.P, there has been suggestions by a lot of people that he is the future of Nigerian music.
Since his intorduction to the music scene, in a very short space, he’s already created his own fan base with his song; “Dumebi” doing fairly well and piercing through the hearts of young music fans.
However of all the stories surrounding Rema, the most significant and widely spread is the fact that people say he sounds like wizkid. Although he has so far downplayed the thoughts as he said it is Wizkid who sounds like him instead.
Many people have received Rema’s claims of Wizkid sounding like him as an arrogant claim and therefore that he wouldn’t be a successful artiste, while others believe there is nothing weird in his claims as he is only confident of his talent. They even said, he will be successful and infact he would be as big as Wizkid.
Therefore, the last sentence now creates the question, will Rema ever be as big as Wizkid???

Whether you're an artiste or just a fan, we all download songs so as to keep ourselves entertained. But whilst some people download songs randomly, others download songs because they know the artiste or simply because they are his/her fans. Or maybe someone recommended the artiste to them. Yet, others download songs based on the song's graphic art cover, and others based on how you publicise the song.
But I, King Sniffy of BESTXPLORER don't download songs because of the above stated reasons. What lure me into downloading songs is the 'Song Title'. It doesn't matter whether I know you or not, once your song has a good title and it's captivating, I would instantly download it.
For instance, I woke up this morning and saw a song titled #LetterToGod by Dninety. Instantly, I was captivated by the song and I am looking forward to being the first person to download it when it is released. Also, #KingsSpeech by Slim Nazi has a very captivating title and because of that, I'm quite eager to download it (probably because I'm also a King. Lol).
Moreso, songs like #LetterToMI_Abaga by D'Paramount, #StoryForTheGods by Olamide, #If_I_Get_Money_Ehn by Magnito, #If_I_Die by Dagrin, #BeefClassiq by Hashim Zamaneh, #LetterToMyUnbornChild by 2Pac and Banky W (respectively), #LetNasDown by J.cole and #2Face by Teedon15 all have catchy titles that would make fans instantly fall in love with them. I still remember clearly how it took me over a month before I could come up with only the title of my song, #SarkinKaduna .'s funny right? But that's the truth. Normally when composing a song, I always come up with the title first before the chorus/hook, then the verses. But in the case of my song 'Sarkin Kaduna', I composed the whole song without a title. It was even after recording the song that I fixed the title, because I wanted a very catchy title that would make people download the song at a glance. And my target was accomplished as many people downloaded the song, which was one of the reasons why B.O.C got interested in working on the remix.
Furthermore, have you ever wondered why Davido always uses precision in his songs' titles? His songs' titles are very brief and sexy. For example, #Aye , #Gobe , #IF and #FALL just to mention a few. He always make them Short, Simple and Sexy (SSS) because he knows how to draw fans.
I'm a journalist, and in journalism we believe that the title or headline of a news story is the basic factor that determines whether people would read the news or not. So just like a news story, I believe that the most important thing in getting people to like and download your song is the title/headline, because that's the first thing they see about the song. So it creates the first impression in them. And remember, first impression matters a lot and it lasts forever.
In the light of this, I call on my fellow artistes to always be creative when creating a title for their songs. Don't just fix it randomly, but make it catchy and attractive. Because your song's title is your own mantle.

Atiku Releases Details Of INEC Server 'Proving' His Victory Over Buhari In Presidential Election — See The Results

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has released further details about the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to back up his claims of his victory over President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the February 23 presidential election.
INEC had declared Buhari winner of the election, saying he polled 15,191,847 to defeat Atiku, who scored 11,262,978 votes. However, Atiku has since claimed he actually polled 18,356,732 votes to Buhari's 16,741,430, citing figures from INEC's server.
In his submission to the Presidential Election Tribunal, the former Adamawa State Governor-Elect had given the “unique MAC address and Microsoft product ID of the INEC server” from where the results were obtained. INEC, though, said the result being paraded by Abubakar is fabricated and not from its website.
But responding to the INEC’s submission in a document seen TheCable, Abubakar and the PDP said the address of the server from which the results were obtained is unique to INEC.
“The Servers from which the said figures were derived belong to the first Respondent (INEC). The figures and votes were transmitted to the first Respondent’s Presidential Result’s Server 1 and thereafter aggregated in INEC_PRES_RSLT_SRV2019, whose Physical Address or unique Mac Address is 94-57-A5-DC-64-B9 with Microsoft Product ID 00252-7000000000-AA535. The above descriptions are unique to the 15t Respondent’s Server,” they said.
“There is no conjecture in the votes and scores in the table pleaded by the Petitioners. The figures are factual. The Spokesperson for the 2nd Respondent’s Campaign Organization openly admitted that the data in question was in the first Respondent’s Server when he wrote and submitted a petition to the Inspector General of Police and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) asking the Security agencies to investigate the 2nd Petitioner herein for allegedly hacking into the Server of the 1St Respondent and obtaining the data in question.
“Specifically, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, the Spokesperson of the 2nd Respondent claimed in the said petition that it was the first Petitioner who smuggled the data into the Server.”
Atiku and the PDP also alleged that Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC chairman, “committed grave errors in the final collation exercise” for the election by “falsely crediting” some persons with political parties, including “Okotie Christopher, Reverend Dr. Onwubuya and Ojinika Jeff Chinze".
“The grave errors referred to in paragraphs 4 and 5 above were under the hands and signature of the first Respondent’s Chairman, (who was also the Returning Officer) in the conduct of the final collation of the results of the Presidential Election,” they added.
“The Petitioners state that the final results as declared by the first respondent are those that were transmitted online to the website of the first Respondent (www inecnigeria)."
While Atiku continues building his case on his access to the INEC server, the APC has already taken a different course, instead telling the tribunal Atiku shouldn't have been eligible to contest the election in the first place because he was not born a Nigerian but a Cameroonian.

Customs opens portal to recruit 3,200 officers – Official

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Tuesday officially announced plans to recruit 3,200 officers into the service.
The Acting Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs in charge of Human Resources Department, Umar Sanusi made this known at a news conference in Abuja.
Sanusi explained that 800 would be recruited to fill vacancies in the Support Staff for Superintendent Cadre Category, and 2,400 would fill that of Customs Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadre in the General Duty Categories.
He said that the service’s portal for the recruitment would be opened 12 midnight of Tuesday and would be closed after three weeks.

According to him, a web portal to receive and process all applications has been created as a sub-domain of the NCS website;
He said the portal “is a user-friendly one that prospective applicants from all parts of the country and even outside Nigeria can log in to submit applications and upload documents.
“The URL is, the specific requirements established for the vacancies.
“Shortlisting of candidates will be done and such candidates short listed will be notified, invited for continuation of the recruitment process.
“Following the necessary approval from the Federal Executive Council (FEC), NCS is now set to recruit officers and men to fill existing vacancies.
“Application for recruitment will be open to all eligible Nigerians, who meet the requirements irrespective of their tribe, religion, state, or any other consideration.
“In our bid to ensure equal and fair opportunity to all applicants, we are working every step of the recruitment process in compliance with the requirements of the Federal Character Commission.
“We are actively engaged with the commission to ensure that the process will earn a certificate of compliance on merit,” he said.
Sanusi said that customs would deploy help desk for applicants to handle complaints, and offer support service.
He said the help desk could be reached through the email address —, adding that a detailed Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) was also populated on the application portal for further clarification.
The Deputy Comptroller-General disclosed that more details of the recruitment would be advertised on seven national newspapers on Wednesday, April 17.
“We are determined to conduct an exercise that is credible, fair and transparent and we will deploy all machinery within our powers to ensure that the integrity of the exercise is not compromised.
“We will like to emphasise that participation in this exercise is free for all eligible applicants, any demand for or solicitation for any payments to process, facilitate, or influence the process under any guise is illegal and should be reported to customs’ office.
“We are aware that some criminal elements may want to take advantage of this recruitment to scam desperate job applicants.
“Some of them are reported to be operating illegal sites and portals, collecting various sums of money from applicants.
“I want to reiterate that the portal for this exercise can only be accessed through the official service web site, where no fees will be demanded,” he said. (NAN)
